The Piste Foundation is a Colorado-based, non-profit (501c3) organized to provide alternative health care to indigineous groups, such as the Mayan people in the the state of Quintana Roo, on the Yucatan Peninsula, in Southern Mexico. Our mission includes the education of people around the world about the history and cosmology of the Mayan culture. We are also accepting donations that will go towards keeping our clinic in Mexico open year round.
The clinic has been operating in Piste, a small village near Chitzen Itza, considered one of the most important archeological ruin in Mexico. Here we utilize a variety of alternative, non-invasive health care modalities, the primary among these being the Acutonics© sound healing system. Practitioners can volunteer their time to work in the clinic. Students from around the world, as well as local community members, attend classes designed to deepen their understanding of Mayan history and cosmology as it pertains to the current global condition.
For more information about volunteering or making a donation to the Piste Foundation, please read the About Us page of the website or email us at mailto:sylvia@pistefoundation.org.
Boulder Event Images are here July 2009 from the Bandshell. This event involved playing gongs and other sound healing devices for community health. These gongs and tuning forks are the same used in the clinic established for the Mayan people in Piste, Mexico.
